Laureato nel dipartimento dell'"Tourism Management" nella Bosphorus University e poi in "Business Administration" nella University of Marmara, il suo cuore e e la sua mente erano pieni degli ideali del giornalista e dello scrittore. Cominciando all'inizio degli anni '80, i suoi saggi ed articoli “sulla cultura popolare„ sono comparsi in parecchie riviste e giornali importanti in Turchia. E' stato fra i fondatori ed i primi redattori di Studyo Imge, un mensile di musica e cultura (ora considerati come “cult„ in Turchia). Fra 1987-95, ha lavorato come un produttore e reporter free-lance per il giornale quotidiano Cumhuriyet. All'inizio di 1988, è diventato il direttore editoriale dell'edizione turca di Playboy ed ha lavorato lì fino al 1990. Fra 1991-95, ha co-prodotto e presentato un programma della TRT Television chiamato “Diario Rock„ ed allo show di musica rock chiamato “Oltre i sogni„. Dopo 1997, ha spostato la sua carriera verso “i nuovi media„ ed ha lavorato come un redattore e columnist contribuendo alla edizione turca di ZDNet.com. Era uno dei quadri della società principale “Ixir„ del Internet fra 2000-2001. La sua ambizione più forte è stata di compire la sua ricerca “sulle anomalie„ della storia antica dai giorni del liceo.
With "2012: Rendez-vous With Marduk" he took the first step for a three-volumes series. The book was an instant blockbuster in Turkey, being the "Number 9" of 2003 and "Number 5" of 2004, among best-selling books in Turkey. In November 2004, his first novel, "Talismans Save Thee" was published, and went as high as Number 2 on best-selling lists. It was a modern fantastic fiction on "immortality", an international conspiracy and a 5000 years old ancient secret.
"Fraternis: Lost Books, Secret Brotherhood" is the secont volume of the "Hidden History" trilogy which had begun with "2012: Rendez-vous With Marduk". It was published on April 2006. (Unfortunately, there are no internationals editions yet.)
Burak is 45 years old (born in 1961) and previously published three more books on popular music and culture: "Bob Marley and Reggae" (1985); "History of Rock Music" (1985) and "From May Flower to the Song of Peace" (1986).
